1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and Quantum APAC Pte Ltd, referred to as “Quantum APAC”, “we”, “our” or “us”.

These Terms govern your access to and use of our websites, mobile applications, digital publications, events and related digital services. These are collectively referred to as the “Services”.

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, registering for an event or submitting information through the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

You must stop using the Services if you do not agree to these Terms.

2. About Quantum APAC

Quantum APAC provides industry content, publications, events, digital tools and related services focused on construction, infrastructure, sustainability, technology and the built environment.

Our Services may include content and services published under Quantum APAC, Future Atlas and other brands operated by Quantum APAC.

3. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

Where you use the Services on behalf of a company, organisation or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf.

Our Services are designed mainly for business and professional users. A person below the age required to enter into a binding agreement may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Scope of the Services

The Services may include:

• industry news and articles;
• market analysis and professional commentary;
• digital publications, including Future Atlas;
• mobile application content and functions;
• account registration and profile functions;
• saved articles, favourites and reading lists;
• event information and registration;
• newsletters and notifications;
• search and content discovery functions;
• interactive digital tools;
• comments, discussions or user submissions where available;
• artificial intelligence powered functions where available; and
• other related services provided by Quantum APAC.

The functions available may vary according to the website, application version, device, location or user account.

5. User Accounts

Certain Services may require you to create an account.

When creating or using an account, you agree to:

• provide accurate, complete and current information;
• keep your account information updated;
• use an email address that you are authorised to use;
• protect your password and login credentials;
• avoid sharing your account with unauthorised persons;
• notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access; and
• use your account only for lawful purposes.

You must not create an account using false information, impersonate another person or organisation, or access an account without permission.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account where that activity results from your failure to protect your account credentials.

6. Account Verification

We may verify an email address, identity, organisation or professional affiliation before granting access to certain Services or functions.

We may reject, restrict or remove an account where the information provided is false, misleading, incomplete or cannot reasonably be verified.

7. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, Quantum APAC grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the Services for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

This permission does not transfer ownership of any content, software, data or intellectual property to you.

8. Acceptable Use

You must use the Services lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

• violate any applicable law or regulation;
• impersonate another person or organisation;
• provide false or misleading information;
• infringe intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality rights;
• upload malware, malicious code or harmful files;
• attempt to access another user’s account;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data;
• interfere with the security or operation of the Services;
• bypass account, content or security controls;
• collect information about other users without authority;
• send spam or unsolicited promotional material;
• publish threatening, abusive, defamatory or unlawful content;
• use automated tools to extract substantial amounts of content;
• copy or compile our content into another database or service;
• reverse engineer application software except where permitted by law;
• use the Services to mislead, defraud or harm another person; or
• use the Services in a manner that places an unreasonable load on our systems.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The Services and their content are owned by or licensed to Quantum APAC and are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Protected material may include:

• articles and written analysis;
• digital publications;
• charts, graphs, tables, maps and databases;
• project information and industry data;
• photographs, illustrations, graphics and videos;
• logos, brand names and trademarks;
• event materials and presentations;
• website and application designs;
• software, interfaces and source code; and
• other content published through the Services.

Unless we provide written permission or applicable law permits the use, you must not:

• copy, reproduce or republish our content;
• distribute or commercially exploit our content;
• modify or create derivative works from our content;
• remove ownership, copyright or source notices;
• use our content to create a competing publication, database or service;
• systematically download or extract content;
• share protected account content with unauthorised users; or
• use our logos or trademarks without written approval.

Limited quotations may be used where permitted by law, provided that the quotation is accurate, proportionate and clearly attributed to Quantum APAC or the stated source.

10. Digital Publications

Digital publications made available through the Services are provided for individual reading and lawful internal business use.

You must not reproduce, distribute, upload, resell or make a publication available through another website, application, database, file-sharing service or public communication channel without our written permission.

Screenshots, extracts or quotations must not be used in a way that misrepresents the original content, removes source attribution or creates the impression that Quantum APAC endorses another product, service or organisation.

11. Saved Content and Personal Settings

The Services may allow users to save articles, create favourites, maintain reading lists or select notification preferences.

Saved content and personal settings may depend on account status, internet access, device compatibility and continued availability of the relevant content.

We do not guarantee permanent availability of saved content. Content may be corrected, replaced, archived or removed where reasonably required.

12. Events and Registrations

The Services may provide information about conferences, seminars, webinars, networking sessions and other events.

Submission of an event registration does not guarantee admission. Attendance may remain subject to confirmation, capacity, invitation requirements, eligibility or venue restrictions.

We may make reasonable changes to:

• event dates and times;
• venues;
• speakers;
• programme content;
• event format;
• attendance arrangements; or
• health, safety and security procedures.

Event attendees must comply with venue rules, applicable laws, safety requirements and reasonable instructions issued by the organiser.

We may refuse entry or remove a person whose conduct creates a safety risk, materially disrupts an event, breaches these Terms or seriously affects other attendees.

13. User Submitted Content

Certain functions may allow you to submit comments, questions, images, documents, project information or other material.

You retain ownership of content that you lawfully own.

By submitting content through the Services, you grant Quantum APAC a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as reasonably required to:

• provide the function you selected;
• display the content according to the applicable settings;
• operate and maintain the Services;
• review and moderate submissions;
• publish a contribution submitted for public publication;
• investigate misuse or complaints; and
• comply with legal requirements.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

• you own the content or have permission to submit it;
• the submission does not infringe another party’s rights;
• the content is accurate where presented as factual;
• the content does not contain confidential information disclosed without authority;
• the content does not contain personal data disclosed unlawfully; and
• the content complies with these Terms.

14. Community Conduct

Where comments, discussions or other community functions are available, users must communicate professionally and respectfully.

You must not submit content that:

• threatens, harasses or abuses another person;
• contains unlawful discrimination or hate content;
• is defamatory or knowingly false;
• promotes unlawful activity;
• reveals another person’s private information without authority;
• contains spam or repetitive promotional content;
• infringes copyright or other rights;
• contains malicious links or software; or
• materially disrupts the purpose of the discussion.

15. Content Moderation

We may review, edit, restrict, hide or remove user submitted content where reasonably necessary to:

• enforce these Terms;
• protect users or third parties;
• respond to a complaint;
• maintain the relevance and quality of the Services;
• protect system security;
• prevent misuse; or
• comply with applicable law.

We are not required to review every submission before it appears. The views expressed by users belong to those users and do not necessarily represent the views of Quantum APAC.

16. Artificial Intelligence Features

Certain Services may provide automated tools that generate summaries, responses, suggestions or other outputs.

Automated outputs may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. You must independently review and verify an output before relying on it.

You must not submit:

• passwords or account authentication codes;
• banking or payment card details;
• confidential business information without authority;
• personal data relating to another person without authority;
• legally privileged material; or
• content that you do not have the right to disclose.

Automated outputs do not constitute legal, financial, investment, engineering, architectural, medical or other regulated professional advice.

17. Industry Information and Analysis

Content published through the Services is provided for general information, professional discussion and industry awareness.

We seek to use credible sources and reasonable care. However, project details, values, schedules, forecasts, market figures, policies and other information may change after publication.

Certain information may be based on public announcements, government documents, company statements, industry sources or third-party estimates.

You should conduct your own checks and obtain suitable professional advice before making any commercial, contractual, investment, design, construction or project decision.

18. Accuracy and Corrections

We may correct, clarify, update or remove content where we identify an error, receive updated information or determine that a revision is appropriate.

The publication date or update date shown with content should be considered when assessing its relevance.

19. Notifications and Communications

With your permission, the mobile application may send notifications relating to:

• new publications and articles;
• industry updates;
• events;
• account activity;
• security matters;
• service changes; and
• other relevant Quantum APAC information.

You may manage push notifications through your device settings. You may manage email preferences through the unsubscribe function provided in relevant communications or by contacting us.

We may still send messages required for account security, registration administration or important changes affecting the Services.

20. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, social media pages, maps, event systems or other external services.

Third parties operate under their own terms, policies and security practices. Quantum APAC does not control their independent content, availability or conduct.

A link, reference or integration does not by itself represent an endorsement by Quantum APAC.

You should review the terms and privacy policies of a third-party service before using it or providing information.

21. Service Availability

We take reasonable steps to maintain the Services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Access may be affected by maintenance, software updates, internet failures, device compatibility, cybersecurity incidents, hosting failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Some functions may require an internet connection, a compatible device, an updated application version or permission to use specific device functions.

22. Changes to the Services

We may update, replace, limit or remove content or functions for operational, editorial, technical, security or legal reasons.

We may release application updates to correct faults, improve security, maintain compatibility or add functions.

Certain updates may be required for the application to continue operating properly.

23. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account or access to the Services where reasonably necessary because:

• you materially breach these Terms;
• account information is false or misleading;
• fraud or unauthorised use is suspected;
• your activity creates a security or safety risk;
• you misuse our content or intellectual property;
• you interfere with the Services;
• your conduct harms another user or third party;
• you use the Services unlawfully; or
• we are required to act by law or a competent authority.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. We may act immediately where required to protect security, prevent serious harm or comply with law.

24. Account Deletion

Where the mobile application allows account creation, you may initiate deletion of your account through the account settings or another clearly identified function within the application.

You may also contact us for support concerning account deletion.

Account deletion may remove your profile, saved articles, favourites, settings and other information linked to the account.

We may retain limited information where required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute management or the protection of legal rights.

Removing the application from your device does not delete your account. You must complete the account deletion process provided through the application.

25. Privacy and Personal Data

Our collection, use, disclosure, storage and protection of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that personal data will be handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable Singapore law.

26. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• the Services will always be available or uninterrupted;
• every function will operate without error;
• all content will remain available indefinitely;
• third-party information will always be complete or current;
• every device will support every function; or
• the Services will meet every user’s individual requirements.

Any rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

27. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantum APAC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from access to, use of or inability to use the Services.

This includes loss of revenue, opportunity, data, goodwill, anticipated savings or business interruption.

Quantum APAC is not responsible for loss arising from:

• reliance on general industry information without independent verification;
• third-party websites or services;
• device, network or internet failures outside our control;
• unauthorised account access caused by a user’s failure to protect login details;
• user submitted content; or
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

28. Your Responsibility for Breaches

You are responsible for loss or damage reasonably incurred by Quantum APAC as a direct result of:

• your material breach of these Terms;
• your unlawful use of the Services;
• content submitted by you that infringes another party’s rights;
• your unauthorised disclosure of confidential information; or
• fraudulent or intentionally harmful conduct.

This section does not apply to loss caused by Quantum APAC’s own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach.

29. Force Majeure

Quantum APAC will not be responsible for delay, interruption or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, public health emergencies, government action, civil disturbance, power failures, internet disruption, cyber incidents, venue closure, transport disruption or failure of major third-party systems.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, technology, operating practices or legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

We may provide an additional notice where a change materially affects user rights or the operation of an account.

Continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the fullest extent permitted or removed where necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

32. Waiver

A failure or delay by Quantum APAC to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

33. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

Quantum APAC may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a corporate restructuring, merger, acquisition or transfer of the relevant Services, subject to applicable law.

34. Third-Party Rights

A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001, except where these Terms expressly provide otherwise.

35. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any specific event or feature conditions presented through the Services, form the complete agreement between you and Quantum APAC concerning your use of the Services.

36. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
