7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and related Services may use cookies, pixels, local storage, server logs and similar technologies.

These technologies may help us:

  • provide core website functions;
  • maintain sessions and account access;
  • remember preferences;
  • protect our Services;
  • understand how visitors use our Services;
  • measure content and service performance; and
  • improve website and application operation.

Some cookies are required for the Services to function. Other cookies may support analytics or optional features.

You may control cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls made available on our website. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functions, account access or saved preferences.

8. Mobile Application Data and Permissions

The mobile application may request access to device features only where needed for a feature you choose to use.

Depending on the functions offered, permissions may include:

  • Notifications: to deliver publication, subscription, event, account and service updates.
  • Camera: to capture an image when you choose to upload one.
  • Photo Library: to select an image or file for upload.
  • Device Storage: to save downloaded content or support offline functions where available.

We will request permission through your device before accessing a protected device feature. You may change permissions through your device settings.

We do not collect precise location data unless a feature requires it, you receive clear notice and you grant the relevant device permission.

9. Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications concerning publications, events, subscriptions, account activity and service information.

You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling marketing notifications does not prevent essential account or service messages from appearing within the application.

10. Saved Content and Personalisation

Where these features are available, we may store information about saved articles, favourites, downloads, reading activity, preferences and other interactions linked to your account.

We use this information to provide requested functions, maintain your settings across supported devices and improve the relevance of content shown through the Services.

11. Artificial Intelligence Features

Where our Services include artificial intelligence powered functions, information you submit may be processed to produce the result you request, maintain security, detect misuse and improve service reliability.

Do not submit passwords, payment card details, confidential business information, personal data relating to another person or information that you do not have the right to disclose.

Where an external technology provider processes submitted information, that provider may act as our service provider or operate under its own terms and privacy policy. We will provide further notice where required.

12. User Submitted Content

Where users may submit comments, images, documents, project information or other content, the submitted material may be visible to other users if the relevant feature is public or shared.

You remain responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions and consents needed to submit it.

We may review, restrict or remove content where reasonably necessary to operate the Services, protect users, address a complaint, enforce our terms or comply with law.

13. Disclosure of Personal Data

We do not sell or rent personal data.

We may disclose personal data to the following parties where reasonably required:

Service providers acting on our behalf may process personal data only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate contractual, organisational and security requirements.

14. Overseas Transfers

Some service providers, cloud systems or technical facilities used to support our Services may be located outside Singapore.

Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to the protection required under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012, except where an exemption applies.

15. Protection of Personal Data

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, alteration, loss, disposal and similar risks.

Measures may include:

Internet transmission and electronic storage carry inherent security risks. You should protect your login credentials, use a secure password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

16. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected or for a related legal or business purpose.

Retention periods may reflect:

  • the duration of your account or subscription;
  • the need to provide a requested service;
  • customer support requirements;
  • accounting, tax and record-keeping duties;
  • fraud prevention and security needs;
  • contractual obligations;
  • dispute and claim periods; and
  • other legal or regulatory requirements.

When personal data is not required for a legal or business purpose, we will cease retaining it or remove the means through which it can be associated with an identifiable individual.

17. Access and Correction Requests

Subject to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012, you may request:

  • access to personal data held by us;
  • information about how we have used or disclosed that data within the period covered by applicable law; or
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Requests must be submitted to our Data Protection Contact. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and understand the scope of your request.

We may charge a reasonable fee for an access request where permitted by law. We will inform you of the estimated fee before processing the request.

Legal exceptions may apply to certain access or correction requests.

18. Account Deletion

Where our mobile application allows account creation, users may initiate account deletion through the account settings or another clearly identified function within the application.

You may also contact us for support concerning account deletion.

Account deletion removes the account and associated personal data that we are not required or permitted to retain. Information may remain in limited records where required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance or the protection of legal rights.

Deleting the application from a device does not automatically delete the associated account.

Subscriptions purchased through an app store may need to be cancelled separately through the relevant Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

19. Data Breaches

We maintain procedures to assess and respond to suspected personal data breaches.

Where a breach is notifiable under applicable Singapore law, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals within the time required by law.

We may also take steps to contain the incident, assess its impact, reduce harm and prevent recurrence.

20. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, payment systems, app stores or other services.

Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Quantum APAC does not control their independent privacy or security practices.

You should review the relevant third-party policies before providing personal data or using their services.

21. Children's Personal Data

Our Services are designed for business and professional users and are not directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent or authority required by law. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through our Services, please contact us so that we can review and address the matter.

22. Automated Processing

We do not use personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

Where automated tools support content selection, recommendations, security or service operation, they remain subject to our applicable policies and controls.

23. Business Transfers

If Quantum APAC enters into a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, transfer of assets or similar transaction, personal data may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.

Any receiving party will remain subject to applicable data protection requirements concerning the personal data transferred.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, operating practices, technology or legal requirements.

The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We may provide an additional notice where a change materially affects how personal data is handled.

You should review this Privacy Policy periodically.

25. Data Protection Contact

You may contact us to ask a privacy question, exercise an applicable right, withdraw consent, report a concern or request support concerning your personal data.
